Jeet Kune Do
Project type
Jazz Band
Date
March 16, 2025
Location
Azusa Pacific University
Named after Bruce Lee's famous book about combat and martial arts, "Jeet Kune Do" is a jazz band piece (only partially shown) that focuses on pace of musical ideas. The contrasting paces of the musical sections are supposed to represent contrasting styles of combat, in which one opponent seeks to engage in combat at breakneck speed, while the other opponent seeks to slow down the pace of the fight and tire their opponent out.
