This might be the most personal work of music in the program, making it somewhat difficult to explain in a measly program note. This orchestral suite has been in the works as long as I’ve been in college, and its story has evolved from a simple 2-dimensional story to something more personal than I realized I was writing. I firmly believe that music is a powerful form of true self-expression, and this suite is the best way I can possibly explain who I am. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a symphony is worth a million of those.
