T.I.S.S.U.E. Eyes

The title is an acronym; Truly I See Scars Underneath Everyone's eyes. Shakespeare once said "The eyes are the window to the soul." The title is supposed to play off of that concept, and to reveal another way it can be interpreted. That being said, this piece is fueled with a sort of angry fire that I will never forget. The spring semester of my junior year of college was full of struggles, with injuries, personal struggles, relational struggles, and student-life struggles. At some point at the climax of all these issues, all of these feelings collided with the strong desire to prove myself as a writer, and T.I.S.S.U.E. Eyes was the end result.
